I grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and graduated from University Northern Colorado with a degree in Biology.  ACA has been a blessing to me and my family since  2000 when my children started pre-school and I have been volunteering and teaching Spanish for 6 years.  My favorite bible verse is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will keep your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6

Barbara Peterson

A transplant from the East Coast, I have been in the Roaring Fork Valley for over 20 years. My husband, Jim, and I have two daughters who have attended ACA since kindergarten. It is a joy to know that at ACA our “children have been taught of the Lord, and great shall be their peace.” Isaiah 54:13 I received e a Masters degree in Audiology from Gallaudet University and had 15 years experience in nonprofit management before coming to the academy to participate in fundraising endeavors in 2002. It is a privilege to teach Middle School History and Bible this year, as well as grantwriting.
